I can’t say that I discovered an artistic side in myself, that I woke up one day and understood that I have a talent for painting. My inclination towards art and my passion for it was and is part of me. Both. Maybe, rather, my parents noticed and realized how much I liked cartoons, almanacs and history books for children, those with comics, from the communist era.

My character painting in the sense that it talks about Romanian history, hides the strange and special human experiences, past and present that not everyone observes because we no longer have time to discover and understand what is happening around us, we no longer have no time for self-knowledge.
